    Hi guys -

This one is a stumper for me. The "File" command is missing from one of my student systems at school running Word 2000. I cannot even access the menu using ALT-F. The "Edit", "View" and so forth are there, just not the "File". I've tried moving it, etc. and nothing. . . . .

Anyone seen a quick fix for this aside from removing/reinstalling? :)

    Hi, Jody.

Right-click the menu bar and choose Customize. Go to the toolbars tab and find the Word menu bar, select it and hit RESET.

If that doesn't work, go to www.theofficeexperts.com/word.htm and look for the "lost toolbars" link and follow the directions there.
