I am having trouble with file ownership. After a re-install of XP i canot access some of my own files that were on a different partition. I tried following the Ownership method in windows help data base, but,

Instruction says right click folder/file you want ownership of then click security tab!! I dont get a security tab.. all I get is GENERAL or SHARING tab....

Where have i gone wrong... (apart from re-installin))?

If this is Windows XP Home, I believe you need to do this in Safe Mode.
