Trying to dump files from my desktop hard drive via external enclosure to my laptop. The desktop was running Windows XP, the laptop is running Windows 7. When I try to open the drive, I get an error message saying "The parameter is not correct," and a prompt to format the drive. Is this a compatibility issue between XP and 7? If so, is there a way around it? ANy help much appreciated.
