file transfer

Hi. Does anyone know of a free file-transfer utility that I could use to send all sorts of stuff from one computer to another? A friend of mine and I work on a school newspaper and it would be nice if we could send eachother stuff. We used to be able to do it over AOL Instand Messenger, but now that we both have routers, it wont work. Im guessing our security settings are trying to protect us, but it would be nice to send and recieve with friends . Thanks.

 

Have you tried <a href="http://web.icq.com">ICQ</a>? It beats AOL IM any day.

Works for me to send/receive files in a school setting with routers.

Of course, many folks just email such things as attachments, it's always worked for me.
