I use Vist Home Praemium. I have downloaded files to specific directories within c:\program Files and they do not show up when I use explorer. If I use the program that I downloaded them with I can find them and even winamp can see them just not explorer. Any ideas?

MP3's from both emule and limewire. I made new directories in both program locations and told the programs to save it to them respectively.

Program Files is a system folder and should not be used as a download location. Vista security prevents files from downloading there, and this is one reason some older apps don't work in Vista.

I think that was it. I finally found that it placed them in the users\appdata\local\program files\ directory. Man for every good thing about Vista there are 2 negatives. But not enough negatives to go back to XP yet!

Thanks guys!

I'm afraid we can't help you with problems related to peer-to-peer downloading apps that can be used for illegal purposes.
