I've been using Filezilla for years, but recently my uploads are failing.
I get a good connection to the remote site and the "Do you want to overwrite?" dialog, but the new file doesn't appear.
I've cleared the cache, reinstalled FZ, double checked and nada. I'm using my host's Control Panel, which works fine but it really slow and awkward.
I suspect I'm missing something simple.

In the Transfer queue box at the bottom, are there any entries in the 'Failed Transfers' tab? If so, what does it say in the Reason column?

Like Andy said, are any files appearing in the failed transfers tab? If there aren't then I'm quite clueless.

There are no failed transfers. It lists one successful transfer of the correct size.
    I'm feeling clueless as well.

    A little more experimenting:
If I delete the file on the server, then upload the new file, the old file re-appears at the original size.
This has to be something simple I'm overlooking.

Do you have access to another computer? Try it on that and see if the same thing happens.

I am also unsure of what is going on

Check your overwrite settings it looks like you have them set to never over write.

    Overwrite is set to "always".
Now I find that some files I can see on the server will not open.
If I upload "test.html", the upload succeeds, but it's not found when I try to access it via Firefox.
