Find Laptop Model Number

    I have a gateway T series laptop, and I cannot find the exact model, the stickers on the bottom are worn off, and it wont boot windows. Anyone got any ideas for me?

    Have you tried right clicking on "My Computer" and selecting properties. You may be able to get the model number and serial number there.

    You could also try going into the BIOS settings on power up. There may be a system information screen with the needed information.

    Like I had said It wont boot windows. Now it is running, but I havent figured it out yet, Bios was a no help. I tried that one first :(

    Sorry, I was so used to giving a pat answer that I missed the part about Windows not booting.

    This might be a long shot but try removing the battery and any access covers (RAM, Hard Drive, Wireless, etc.) on the bottom of the computer and see if there is a label with a serial number under one of them.
