    Hey wasn't sure where this is suppose to go to.
    Recently my computers been getting really F'd up I've done full system scans and all that but I think I'll just reinstall windows rather than fix the virus/spywares seeing as my sound's all screwed up as well want to see if that gets fixed along with the reinstall.

    One problem. I want to keep all my cookies & all that for firefox cuz sometimes I forget my account name for certain websites and such. Any possibility of this or do I just gotta start making a list?

    You can do that by copying the entire contents of the profile folder over. In XP it's something like C:\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<folder>.default . In Vista it can be found in the Roaming section of AppData.

    Get that folder backed up then after you've reinstalled FF, delete the contents of the same folder on the new install (it will have a different name) and copy all the files and folders you backed up into it. You can do the same with Thunderbird too.

    I couldnt find any application data but I'm guessing that's the same as program files.

    I found a profile folder in:

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile

    it only has 5 files or so does that look right?

    sorry if it seems obvious I just dont want to lose the cookies before the reinstall -_-

    Nope, it's in Application Data. My bad - Location is C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<folder>.default

    To see it, you need to show hidden files & folders

    Get MozBackup 1.4.6.

    MozBackup is a simple utility for creating backups of
    Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, SeaMonkey,
    Mozilla Suite and Netscape profiles.

    It allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail,
    contacts, history, extensions, cache etc.

    Supported versions:
    * Firefox 1.0 - 2.0
    * Thunderbird 1.0 - 2.0 Beta
    * SeaMonkey 1.0a - 1.1
    * Mozilla Suite 1.7 - 1.7.x
    * Netscape 7.x.
