I'm using FF 3.6. I recently had to reinstall my OS, winXPsp3. I used to create shortcuts by going to a site and dragging the icon to the desktop. Now when I do that I get an icon buts its empty. Its white with the six colors inside the rectangle with the blue top. When I click that icon it doesn't do anything.

    What do I do?

It could be a problem with the URL file association in the registry. This reg file might fix it.

Not having XP I can't guess at what other changes it would make, such as possibly setting them to open with IE instead of FF. If so I'm sure that can be sorted as simply as setting IE then FF to be the default Browser.
