Hello, I have recently purchased an "Onyx Portable Media Player" by "Mach Speed Technologies". I installed the included drivers and software and am currently upgrading the firmware. The update window says "SigmaTel MSCN Firmware", so I'm assuming it's licensed by SigmaTel. It's updating from version 000.000.000 to 880.282.433. The window's progress bar seems to be stuck at "Initializing", with no advances made in the main progress bar but the smaller one constantly filling and then refilling. Is this just going to take a long time or is there something wrong?

I can provide a screenshot if needed.

Is this the media player firmware or motherboard?
Why did you feel the need to upgrade the firmware?

    Hi, there,

I have the same Onyx player, where did you find the 880.282.433 version?
The latest one on the Machspeed.com is 880.282..432 I believe.
Could you send me a copy of 880.282.433 to [email protected]?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi komali,
I am also stuck in the same problem and this is really getting hard.
I talked to support and they say this needs a replacement. I have left US and I can't get this back. This is the new player and I cannot even start it :(

    Thanks for your help.
