I did a search on TSG but couldn't find a post for this one...............

I tried dragging the CD (600 Mb) to my Hard drive and Vista happily told me to go away for a few days - three to be exact - while it did the copying!!

I also tried dragging the contents of the CD (folders and files) to the HDD folder but got a similar time frame. (n) (n)

What is going on here?

I have an Intel duo core and 2 Gig RAM so thought I might have got it down a bit closer to twenty minutes or so....

    Aaggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    I've got two CD/DVD drives.
The first is a new dual layer Litescribe that reads 48 per sec and writes anywhere from 18 to 48 depending on the type of disc I want to burn.

The second is very similar - Used both these on XP Pro and they were very fast.
It is only since I put Vista on that I have this weird problem.
