Hi all,

Won't bore you with too many details about my base unit from Hell but I had no end of problems with the AC97 chip on my SiS735 chipset mobo.

With the sound drivers installed, video playback in WMP was REALLY jerky. Playback was perfect without them installed.

Tried everything but was finally told by the system builders 'You'll just have to wait until SIS release updated drivers' - how's that for good customer service?

Well, after a couple of months SIS have finally got around to releasing them (available here) and it cured the problem instantly.

Hope this helps anyone who might have had similar problems.

    Best Regards
