    Hi

Im creating a website which will contain videos of my work. Because im aware there are compatability problems between people using .wmv / .avi and everything else I thought it would be best if all the movies where in the same format. Now, im sure these exist because i've seen them very many places. Im after a Flash Video player, that I can put my .avi / .mpg files in and then I can export a .swf file that I can put on the website. This .swf file will play the avi / mpg video. I have a brief actionscript/flash knowledge but im assuming I can find this somewhere and just add my own videos to it? I tried to make my own player, only problem being that im assuming the whole swf file would load before it would start to play, i'd prefer it if the user could see the progress of the movie, and also start streaming straight away.

It would basically be like the GoogleVideo and YouTube video players that are embedded in many websites now - I dont want to use them because, well they dont link back to the original content and the quality of the videos tends to be poor.

Any help greatly appreciated - lemme know if you've got any questions :)

    Thanks :D
