This Windows Vista, 64 bit machine won't download Adobe Flashplayer 10.1 for Vista. How is this accomplished? Sysinfo utility won't download either.

HP Pavilion a6667c. Bios date: 9/5/08.

Have you tried downloading the Flash plug-in from here?

Yes. It initializes, goes to the downloads folder but doesn't download. I've also tried Frank's solution shown below in the "solved" post, to no avail. Also tried downloading version 10. I've also turned off my Avast during download attempt. Nothing works.

I've had this trouble before with downloading Flashplayer to Vista on another 64 bit machine, but apparently solved the problem.

What browser are you trying to install Adobe Flash Player 27.0.0.170(current version) for?

HERE is where I download and save and install it from.
(The download links are at the bottom of the webpage)

Note: Make sure to close all open browser windows first before installing it.

I had trouble with the Firefox 52.1.1 ESR download. Does that need to be loaded first? Which program should I choose to use for the download? I tried "notebook" and "Explorer", but neither worked.

52.4.1 is the most current ESR version of Mozilla Firefox, so you should update yours.

After you update it, download and save Adobe Flash Player 27.0.0.170.

Close all open browser windows first, then install it.
