Windows 95 Microsoft Plus DOES NOT recognize a disk in the FDD. I have followed all of the Microsoft instructions for installation and operation of the FDD to no avail. Error Message: "There is no disk in A:\. Insert disk and Retry." Any HELP with this problem will be appreciated!!

There are two possibilities that I can think of:

    1) Don't be offended, but it is so easy to screw this one up. Make sure the red stripe is toward the power cable on the floppy drivers or facing away from you as you look inside the case from the side. This is opposite as the way the hard drive and CD cables fit...so, for security, check this one and make sure you have it placed correctly..

    2) Your floppy has died. This is quite common and they are very cheap, so that might be a way to go if the above does not solve your problem.
