I've installed a new 3.5 floppy drive and My Computer Displays a 5.5 icon as drive A. Is the ribbon cable not installed correctly? Do I need to enter set-up and enter new parameters? What about drivers? If so is this drive primary, secondary, ide or what. All I did was replace the old drive, but this is my first try at switching a 3.5 floppy drive. Thanking you in advance,

The BIOS is probably set incorrectly, which is identfying it as a 5.25" Floppy. Correct it in the BIOS.

If it is not corrected by changing the bios, you can try the cable in the other direction. It does sound like the bios needs to be changed though.
