I wish to 'view' the List details of my folders. When I change
'View' to "List", then close folder and reopen it, the view has
reverted, ie is not what I changed it to. I don't understand why
my last folder "View" selection does not relect my last setting?

Right-click the reg file, open it with Notepad, and you will see what reg keys this file changes. It deletes past folder view settings and resets them so that XP will remember the settings for 8000 folders. The default is 2000 or 4000 and you have run out of space for remembering folder views.

Doncomp --Posted the same exact question a while back. I wanted the folders in My Pictures to remain at the "Thumbnail" view, but they would revert back to "Tiles" on occasion.

    Never did find the answer.
