    Hello there,

I'm using windows XP pro. I've noticed lately that all the folders don't have a top navigational menu (file , edit , tools ...etc) , they're replaced with a line that has Windows logo instead (see attachment).

How do i bring the top menu back?

    thanks in advance :)

    Try this I guess

    http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_toolbarfix.htm

Some people have said this has happened to them after they have been playin' with the registry.

Anything you wish to add? hmm?

    Ah well, good luck.

If you changed anything in Word recently, change it back. Some people say this has something to do with Word also.

    Press F11? Changes the view.

That's all I have on this for ya.

Be careful with that software I linked to, I never tried it out myself. I got it from a link from here -> http://www.xpforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=772 which is a thread about your problem that I found.

the rest of the site containing the link to fix the toolbar is below. Doug Knox is a MVP for Microsoft. if you think you need to use the download to fix your problem. I would do it. never had a problem with a 'MVP Site' before. and there are a few of them.
