    hey,
i really need help here, i can't see the folders in my local disk c:\, when i double click its empty, i can only open folders when i rite exactly where i want to go in the explorer. i think my computer is infected but i dont know by what, its been really slow lately although my hard disk isn't even half full, sometimes it locks up and no program wants to open. i have avast and ad-aware both scans come up clean. all in all the computer works but im afraid it might crash. i'm desperate!! i was thinking about reformatting but i really don't want to lose everything! i should also mention that at first the local disk wouldnt open at all but i did a system restore which solved that problem. it's getting really annoying now, and everything i try fails. PLEASE HELP!!!
    i would really appreciate it
btw i have windows xp, i was thinking that maybe its a flash drive virus but nothing shows up on the scans. I've tried avast, mcafee, spybot, ad-aware, used ccleaner to get rid of temprary files, cookies, clean the registry... but its still pretty slow
