Okay, I've got some buring questions inside that need to be answered quickly. Okay
1. Name everyone that was seen wearing or touching the actual ring in Fellowship of the Ring.

2. Who rescued Sam, Frodo, Merry and Pippen from a barrow-wight at the barrow-downs?

3. What kind of creatures are the Uruk-Hai, and please be specific:

4. What is another name for Minas Tirith?

Please answer these questions for me, a lot is riding at my work. And make sure those answers are correct.

Q 1: Book or movie? The book and movie have varied, as is the case in most instances. In the book, starting from Bilbo's farewell party, Bilbo, Frodo, Sam and Gollum touched it. Also some elves must have, asa when Frodo was rescued at the Fords of Rivendell he awoke with the ring hanging from a new strong chaing around his neck. Tom Bombadill also touched it and used it but it hade no affect on him. He and Sam were the only ones ever to surrender the ring willingly. Previously, only Isildur and Sauron himself had ever touched it, except for one: Deagol, who found it in the river and was killed by Smeagol (Gollum) for it. Frodo falls in the snow and Boromir picks up the ring, but only by the chain; he never actually touched the ring.

Gandalf and Galadriel, being the purest characters in the story, refused the Ring, even thought freely offered it. The scene of Galadriel's Mirror is one of the best in the book.

Q 2: Tom Bombadill rescued the Hobbits, fitted them out with weapons from them, then sent them on their way to Bree.

Q 3: Uruk-Hai are Orcs, but bred with men, so that they are smarter and stronger. Saruman bred them in the movie but in the book they were originally bred by Sauron.

Q 4: Minas Tirith is also know in the Common tongue as the Tower of Guard. It was renamed that to guard against the evil of Minas Morgul (Tower of Scorcery). Minas Tirith was previously called Minas Anor, "Tower of the Setting Sun".
