is it possible to prevent an administrator from logging you off from a local computer?

Nope, the administrator has complete control over the system. The only way to do that would be to remove the administrator account from the local system and from the domain.

Even then, all the administrator would have to do, is to issue a remote shutdown with a force kill all applications and the system would just reboot.

Or he could just reach down and turn the system off and after it rebooted just log on in.
