New user, so hello to everyone,
I just recently took a new job in the Army, the Battalion ISO. I have only been in the job for two weeks and Oh My God, some of the things you see as a tech. Anyway, the thing that has got me stumped is a guy formatted his c drive without the boot disc. Now he (we) get a message "missing NTLDR, strike any key to continue." Of course this could go on for days, if you know what I mean. To make things worse, the CMOS is password protected, and nobody knows the password. If anybody could help me out, it would be great. This "guy" could make life real hard for me.

Lived in Georgia 9 years, not Ft. Gordon eh?
To get to CMOS without passwor, you have to disable the battery for abit. It will default to no password.

Either the battery thing or the actual jumper for the bios reset on the motherboard....for the life of me I cannot remember where it is "usually" located, but it is probably marked saying what it is.

I guess the owner does not have his restore cds? Seems that using it would suffice for the boot disk.
