I have a kodak easyshare Z650..I was using it for a few months now without incident..then I turned it on one day and it said the memory card needed to be reformatted click continue to proceed? I was like ok this isn't right its a brand new card only used twice. So I decided to reformat and I hit continue it then gave me a message saying all pictures and vids would be deleted So I said ok and pressed continue..It started formatting then stopped and the same error came up all over again..I thought it was the memory card cause when I take it out the cam and the internal memory work perfect so I put in another card I had here..Same exact thing happened? So now I'm very puzzled as to what it could be...Kodak has offered to fix it but i have to pay for shipping and ship it to Winnipeg wait 8-10 weeks to get it back..And honestly I dont wanna do that.. I have heard a few people say to try blowing some compressed air in the Sd slot..So I may try that..If you have any other suggestions it would be very much appreciated..Thanks Candy:p

Other than trying the compressed air I see no alternative to sending it back to Kodak. With two cards showing the same problem and I assume going through Kodak support with their troubleshooting I doubt there is any magic trick anyone is going to come up with.

If you have a card reader you could try formatting the card with the computer. Make sure you use FAT and not FAT32. That isn’t likely to help with two different cards formatted for the camera not working, but it might be worth a try.

You are fortunate it is still under warranty.

I have the same camera, and had the same thing happen to me. Some how I fixed the problem by getting my other Ultra 2 1.0gb SunDisk memory card that was full. And reformating that. Some how I intervertently changed the reformat code in the camera. So now it works like a charm. You can also take apart the camera, There is a chip that's responsible for transferring images from the camera to the memory card. What you do is pry the chip open then stick it back in place. "I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE THIS, IT WILL NOT ONLY VOID ANY WARNETY IT COULD PERMANENTLY DESTROY THE CAMERA." So if you know what your doing go ahead, but if you don't, don't do it.
