Formating a PC, have fdisk'd and deleted all partitions, created primary dos partition, ran scandisk and chkdisk, everything was in order.

installed win98, the installation begins and when it first reboots after file transfer this is the error message :- "Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device No 3, windows configuration is invalid, Run windows setup again to correct this problem.

the same thing happens when I run setup again, if its of any help, on boot I did notice something like "HIMEM.SYS driver not installed.

(sorry don't have the machine in front of me) Any help and/or advice would be much appreciated
