formatting C drive

want help deleting h/disk
need to know what exactly
i need to type to format C

At the A:\ prompt type: format c:

 

[dogbonz]

1) What is your operating System ? 98, 95,
or 2000 or ME ?

2) If you made a start up disk from THAT
OS, you can boot from that disk, and at
the "A:" prompt just type "format C: /S"

This will format the C: drive and put the
bootable sector on it. If your 'puter is
fairly new, your CD Rom should work for
installing the OS again. (Or you can boot
from the CD-Rom) and format from there.
