I just bought a pack on blank CDs today and when I put the CD into the drive and try to the message saying that I need to format the disk, it doesn't come up. I've been trying to open this option up, but I can't. I just get this message "Selected disk drive is not in use. Make sure the disk is inserted." It is inserted, but nothing happens. It's so frustrating. HELP!

    Are they CDR or CD-RW

You do not need to format a CDR only format a CD-RW

The O/S and burning software in question would be very helpful. :)

    Hello thechubby1,

I am sorry that I was unable to help solve your problem.

johnwill means is your operating syestem Windows 98, ME, XP etc.
and do you have Nero (and version no) or another burning programme.

If you can supply that information then someone may be able to offer more help.

    Best of luck
