    Hi i have a home video made with a Panasonic VDR-M50PP on a Sony DVD-R 1.4 disk.
When i load it in the camera it creates thumbnails so i can view it. But i can't get it to play on my computer. I would like to make it into a format that universal like windows media player or quicktime. any suggestions?
My computer is a vostro 1400 with a pioneer DVD+- RW DR-K17Y ATA Device

Have you closed the disc? You have to do that or it won't play in any other device.

Not familiar with your Panasonic unit. Check your owner's manual for a section on finalizing or closing the disc. The function may be buried in some on-screen disc configuration or system menu. The process may take 2 to 3 minutes to complete. Once you do finalize the disc, it should work on any DVD player but you will no longer to add to or edit the contents on the Panasonic camera.
