    Now i'm not sure about how to do this entirely, I assume it'll involve either perl or something to be able to read a forum (in this case yabb) and make it so it'll display in the news section of the webpage...if anyone can give me a direction to start with, even that 'd be helpful. I'm willing to learn how to if i know where to begin.

    I don't remember if Yabb is Perl or PHP, but I think you'll have your best bet finding somthing on the yabb site.

    I don't know about Yabb but almost all popular forums (phpBB, vBulletin, Invision, etc) have mods or hacks for a portal or CMS.
