I recently switched to Thunderbird email. There is a problem in that I am unable to delete headers when forwarding a message. Once I click "Forward" I lose control of the contents of the message. Is there some way around this? How do you delete headers otherwise?

Once you click Forward, you should be able to highlight the headers in the compose window and cut them.

Throoper, You're 100% right but therein lies the problem. When I click on Forward the message disappears and only its title appears as an attachment over in the upper right hand corner of my screen. cw

Open Thunderbird and go to options, composition tab.
Then the general tab.
Your see forward message in then a drop down box with attachment listed. Click it and pick inline and OK your way out.

Yep. Hewee's right and beat me to the post.
You're set to forward as an attachment instead of Inline.

You're set to forward as an attachment instead of Inline.
But they should add a drop down by the Forward button so you can keep the default in the setting but still pick from the two ways to send if you want to unless it is someplace else in the menu.

OK I found it. :)
Open the email and go to message, forward as and it will list both as attachment or inline. :D

There throoper you missed that one. ;)
