I posted a similiar ? in another forum because I dont know how to move it here..
I found a HDD and have hooked it up as a slave (cuz I am nosey) and I want to see what is in it.
But I seemed to have run into a little bump in the road...
well I am running xp pro and the hdd has 98 I think. In the other forum I was told tat they should be compatible as far as viewing but I can only see very few jpegs of thier taste in porn :D and I cannot open or read any of the text files some folders I cannot even open. I get syntax is incorrect or file has been corrupted or network not available :( errors.
They had a zip drive also in the tower and almost all the files have weird names with shapes, punctuations, #'s and letters like encryption or something.
does anyone have any tips or do you think like I am getting closer to thinking ,that they corrupted the disk on purpose.
I almost hope they did cuz its not a good Idea to throw your working hdd away with all your info on it.. :D
especiallly with nosey people like me out there felt like christmas when I seen the HDD still in it . I still had my pc open from the last slave I did on a hdd to see what was on it anyways.
