Frames in Dreamweaver

I am trying to create a fixed fram at the top of the page with a form of navigation system i have created a dropdown menu system in Fireworks and i have exported it to dreamweaver the navigation itself works fine but the page which the link is directed to opens in the Nav bar frame instead of the main page can anyone help me?

You need to have the navigation pointing to the lower frame. I don't believe you can just have one frame pointing to the same page. You need a frame to hold the content you are directing it to from your navigation frame.

yeah i know i have the content for the top frame that stays the same i jsut need the links onb that frame to piont to the lower part of the page im not sure how to do this in dreamweaver.
