what are the best Free Alternatives To MS Words.

I use WPS Office 2016 which is good but has ad issue. I also used Libre Office 4 which is kind of old fashioned. DO you have any other better free alternatives?

    Thank you.

I've installed Libre Office 5 on both a Win7 and Linux platform
    Version 6 is out.
As far as I know, Libre is considered the closest to MS Office that's free.

Update your LibreOffice. Version 5 was released 3 years ago

    I'm running v 5.4 which came out a year ago. (Window 7)
I see it is no longer supported. Guess I'll need to update it.
