I am using spyware doctor,adaware,spybot sd,spyware blaster and cw shredder.Spyware doctor seems to find more infections that the others . my subscription to spyware doctor is about to expire and i am not renewing. Is there another free spyware utility out there or should i just use the remaining anti spyware utilities.
thanks again, franco

I'm not familiar with Spyware Doctor or Spyware Blaster, but you also have Ad-Aware, Spybot, and CWShredder, so you're doing okay.

Just make sure to run the update function of Ad-Aware and Spybot at least once a week and install all updates that appear for them before doing a scan with them.

I have Spyware Blaster and it is a good program. It doesn't run, it just blocks certain spyware from installing. I also use Microsoft AntiSpyare Beta with Windows XP.

Here is a list of all my security programs; they have kept me free from all but 'bad' "cookies." These Ewido finds.
{redoak}

ZoneLabs free firewall
AVG anti-virus
Ad-Aware SE
Xoftspy
Microsoft AntiSpyware
Spybot S and D
SpywareGuard
SpywareBlaster
EWIDO
CWShredder
Bazooka

Note: ‘Xoftspy’ was once considered a ‘rouge’ but recently has been given a ‘clean bill of health.’
