Wordpress.com is a free platform with a limited options. I managed to integrate hit counter with 5 digits. Very soon I 'll need 6. Which are the best and easiest free options? Eny suggestion is more than welcome. 👍

Try Bravenet. They have a free counter which is customisable:

Apparently they changed their policy. The problem is that this one doesn't work. 🤔

"Hi there,

The only "hit counter" on WordPress.com is our own stats widget:

https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/blog-stats-widget/

Any other hit counter would use iframe or JavaScript code to embed, and we don't allow those types of code on WordPress.com except on our Business Plan, so there aren't any other options that will work here that we can recommend."

Absolutely.
Just one more question. For the last 3 years I've been using this hit counter: (https://www.counter12.com/). So far, so good. I am close to 99 000 hits. What's going to happen when I reach 6 digits number (100 000)? Do I need a new counter, or the old one is gonna adjust by itself and add a one more number?

Why not ask the suppliers of the counter you have they will be the experts or wait until it ticks over. Does it matter if it resets? You can always put a qualifier on the page with something like "Visitors to site from 1/1/2020 to 1/1/2021 99,999".

There is no option to contact them. And your idea makes sense. Thank you. ✌

It should adjust unless there’s a maximum the counter will accept.
The counter from the site mentioned can be set to begin at any number so I would expect it would be fine. You could always try creating a new counter starting at 100,000 & see if it accepts it.

Thanks a lot. I'll wait and see. ✌
