From the shipping section of their website:

What is a Delivery Fee?
Our unique relationships with software publishers and product manufacturers allow us to offer top brand products for FREE, all you pay is a $6.99 delivery fee for all FREE items, and a $7.99 delivery fee for all Jewelry items. A "Delivery Fee" is defined as shipping, handling, promotional and administrative charges for each unit ordered. The fee covers all the costs associated with getting the product to your door.

I guess the line that bothers me is right under that one:

Why doesn't the software come in a retail box?

Rather than ship full retail-size boxes that contain a CD-ROM, plastic, cardboard, paper and, well - air, we eliminate the retail box. Not only does this mean less cost to deliver, but it's also a much more ecologically friendly way to deliver.

I get a little nervous about name brand software being shipped without the box.

It's just a new way to sell cheap software that they made lots of CD's for and couldn't sell at the normal price. No news here.
