I recently reinstalled my PC computer and am now experiencing some odd things with Freehand.

I have two versions of Freehand, 9.something and Freehand 10.

Freehand 9 does not want to load anymore, but Freehand 10 loads fine.

The problem with Freehand 10 is that it now does not want to import any image files (any files in fact). You can save a .tif file to your desktop and manually pull it across to a Freehand page and it will be displayed.

But opening File>Import just causes the app to hang completely.

On another matter, when I right click on an image and go to Open With > Photoshop - the computer opens Photoshop, but not the image I wanted to work with.

    Hi,
I would suggest running a scanreg /fix to see if it is a glitch in the registry.
In case you don't know how to here it is:-

Press F8 on start up and when menu comes up choose command prompt only
At the C:\ prompt type in "scanreg /fix" without the quotes
Once this has finished reboot your PC and see what happens.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

    :D
