I turn on my VAIO laptop, model VGN-B100GP.
    1) VAIO logo comes up fine.
here i can press F2 to go to the configuration screen, does any of the other F# works, i dunno

    2) A second later, WINDOWS XP starts to boot up

    here i cant do anything

    3) Then it goes to the start of the LOGIN screen

here i can still move my mouse, toggle NUM,SCROLL and CAP lock, and press SHIFT 5 times to get the 'stickykeys' window

    4) Then its suppose to go into the LOGIN screen but it doesnt

So at the moment, it stops right at STEP 3 and wont proceed any further.
The most important part is i want all the files i still have in it.

So please can anyone help me, without resorting to deletin all my files
    thanx

pictures were used as examples, not actually happening on my laptop
