For the past couple of months, I have been dealing with frequent disconnects from game servers. I begin to play a game and some lag happens for a bit, then I get kicked out of the game with it telling me I've lost connection. This happens on Overwatch, CSGO, and PUBG. I also play on PS4 and my internet runs fine, so I don't exactly know what the problem is. I've updated my network drivers and restored the whole laptop.

What's the model name and model number(M/N) and product number(P/N) and serial number(S/N) of your HP laptop?

Are you having the game server lag issue with a wired ethernet connection or with a wireless connection or with both?

The C: drive appears to be about 99% full, so that may be part of the problem.

It's an HP Omen, serial number is 5CD6476VVW, and prodcut number is W2N48UA#ABA. I've only ever gamed with a wireless connection.

HERE is the support site for your HP OMEN 17-w053dx Notebook PC which was purchased in January 2017 and came with Windows 10 64-bit.
You should add and save this site in your browsers' favorites/bookmarks list so you can quickly refer to it when needed.

It appears to have these networking devices:
    Broadcom or Intel wireless
    Realtek gigabit ethernet

Try using that laptop with a wired ethernet connection, then see if you still get the same lag and disconnect issues.

Sorry for the late reply, not too sure if you're still paying attention to this thread, but I tried a wired connection with my laptop today for about two hours and didn't run into any problems. What could be the problem with me playing wireless then?

I'm glad to hear that. (y)
Wired ethernet tends to be more stable and consistent than wireless, so it's my guess that's your issue.

I'm not a networking expert nor a gamer, so my input here is very limited.
Others here who are may be able to give you better advice.
