Always wanted to play with tweakui, but I was a little nervous about it.

    Then I found this : http://www.freshdevices.com/

The program is called Fresh UI, and it has tons of windows tricks and shortcuts , something for xp,2000, ME, 98 and 95 !Includimg a guide to what you are doing.

It will get rid of those add remove listings you deleted and still appear in the menu...check it out..Rhett

    Hi Rhett,

Only thing is: why were you nervous about using TweakUI, and not about this relatively little known FreshUI?

They basically work the same way: they provide a handy user interface that avoids editing the Registry manually.

The difference between them, to my mind, is that TweakUI is used by many millions of people, and therefore the issues associated with it are not only well known and documented, most of them are history as of the latest versions as well.

So I'm pretty certain that TweakUI is probably safer to use than FreshUI.

Anyway, it's always advisable to backup your registry, if you intend to edit it in any serious way

Whether you intend to do it manually, of through a program doesn't really make a huge difference.
Don't be taken in by a slick looking user interface.

    Greetz,

I am sure TweakUI is great, but the program above is from a company I use , and trust, I have all 3 of there freeware programs and they are all add and banner free, they update them often...but, the main reason I liked UI was because the interface is just like Fresh Diagnose which I was all ready used to and comfortable with....whatever works ! :) ....Rhett
