So I got home from work and my computer was frozen. On the screen there were weird program windows title "instructions" and something else. Anyway I rebooted my computer and it said that System 32 was deleted. I had to reinstall windows. Can someone tell me how this happened?

Welcome to TSG....

Sounds like you let your computer run all of the time and never turn it off. EIther that or someone else was using it and done did something they should not have.

Do you have the windows recovery or restore disk set for this computer?

Also could you post some system specs for this computer?

I NEVER turn my computer off. Once in a blue moon I'll give it a reboot when necessary, but otherwise I leave it on 24/7 and running 24/7, cant say I have ever had a problem as a result of this.

I agree, that is certainly not the issue as I leave my computer running 24/7. I also think however, that somebody has been messing around with your PC - if it's human, pet or virus, I cannot tell;)
