My CuteFTP 8 trial will expire soon and I was wondering if this was one of the best ftp's around? I assume I will have to purchase one soon, so I want to know which ones are good, but not too expensive...?
Thanks so much for all your help, folks... this site really does help me alot :D

I use FileZilla almost everyday and have done for several years. It's free.

Agree, FileZilla is great and free.

Some HTML/web script editors have ftp built into them, eliminating the need for a extra software. Dreamweaver probably has this. The free editing software that I use, aptana studio, has both ftp and sftp built in. The latter is one of the many reasons I use it.

There are so many good, free ones that you shouldn't buy one. I use Blaze FTP for most things. It is old but good. FTP hasn't changed.

FileZilla's server and client is very good, too, especially if you need the additional options and settings they offer. But freeware sites have many choices and they all work just fine.
