I upgraded my Motherboard without formatting the harddrive. I was running Xp Pro. The PC just rebooted by itself the whole time.
Then I took another drive and used ghost to clone the drive.
I did a clean install on a new hard drive and the PC is running great.
The problem is that Xp does not recognize the old drive now when I put it in as a slave.
The drive is partitioned into 2 drives with fat32 file system. If i put the drive in my older PC with win98 going the drive is detected but the first partition is duplicated into another drive.

It seems that my data is not so much intact anymore

Can anyone please tell me what's going on

Maybe windows is still seeing it as a bootable drive and picking up your new drive in bios as the only bootable
