Have just installed star trek bridge commander but when I try to play it my screen goes black and I can only restart using Ctrl Alt & Delete.
I have higher than minimun system requirments and am currently running my graphics at 800x600.
I have run a Dxdiag and it indicates no problems.
    Can anyone please help?

    Thanks

    this from activision

Make sure you have the latest video and sound card drivers from the manufacturers' websites.

Set your desktop to a resolution of 800x600, 32 bit True Color.
    1) Right-click on your desktop and select Properties.
    2) Click the Settings tab.
    3) Set your screen area to 800x600.
    4) Set the colors to 32 Bit (True Color). Under Windows NT this will be listed as 65554 colors.
    5) Click Apply and OK.

All background applications must be shutdown prior to running the game.

Delete the options.cfg file from the directory where you installed the game.
