Although my system meets or exceeds all of the requirements, its still running games slow (specifically Assassin's Creed, which is the only one i've installed on this cpu). I'm not running any other programs, disabled my internet conn, and have done everything else i can think of. The game's opening video ran fine, menus are responsive, but as soon as i go in-game, everything goes choppy.

I'm still stumped on this.. ran scandisk and ad-aware, lowered all graphics settings, would do a disc defrag but im only using about 10% of my hard drive as it is. any ideas would be nice.

Only because you meet the minimum requirements does not mean even nearyl enjoyable game experience. Especially your horrible graphics card makes it run very badly. Geforce 6800, which it recommends/suggests to need, is a lot better than the 7300LE. Go check at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and you'll see how much of a bottleneck the graphics card is when trying to reach the required specs for AC...
