How many ram do you have? Actually the intel graphic onboard video card is not really good for newer games. You'll need to buy a decent card that can play games with no lag.

Well, you have a 7300 LE video card that is fine, but if you want high settings for future games, you'll need 8800 NVIDIA. Also about the ram, you'll need 2 GB of ram.

About the crashes, have you try update the video drivers, uninstall and reinstall games, or patching the game?
