gamma settings

    there are three knobs that appear when I liik at my gamma settings and by turning them you can adjust the color/brightness/contrast of your monitor.

    are there specific settings that these should be at or is it personal preference

    The way I calibrate a monitor is to find a picture of some sort that has pitch black in it. Adjust the contrast to 100% then adjust the brightness to where the black appears as pitch black (no more and no less).
