My daughter has a Gateway LX6810-01 computer. It is running Windows 7 and takes forever to boot up. I'm wondering if one of these items is slowing down the Startup and could either or both be unchecked from the Startup list in msconfig.
    1) NVIDIA NVRAID - she does NOT have a RAID setup
    2) Logitech Gaming Framework - she does have a Logitech G510 keyboard. She does play WOW so I'm guessing this should probably stay on.

Click Start, then type MSCONFIG in the search box, then press the Enter key.

When the small "System Configuration" window appears, click the "Startup" tab.

Write down ONLY the names in the "Startup Item" column that have a checkmark next to them.

If the "Startup Item" column isn't wide enough to see the entire name of any of them, widen the column.

Submit those names here in a vertical list.

Make sure to spell them EXACTLY as you see them there.

Click Start, then type SERVICES.MSC in the search box, then press the Enter key.

When the "Services" window appears, expand it so you can see the list more clearly.

Write down ONLY the names in the "Name" column that have their startup type set on Automatic / Automatic(Delayed Start).

If the "Name" column isn't wide enough to see the entire name of any of them, widen the column.

Submit those names here in a vertical list and in alphabetical order.

Make sure to spell them correctly.

Is her Gateway LX6810-01 desktop running Windows 7 32-bit or Windows 7 64-bit?

How much RAM does it currently have?

Hopefully, it has at least 4 GB.

It supports a maximum of 8 GB.

It's running 64 bit and has either 6 or 8 GB of memory. Don't remember right now. I've been through the msconfig list and the only things checked I know are needed. These were the only 2 I was questioning.

The NVIDIA-related startup entries can usually be unchecked.

The NVIDIA-related service entries can usually have their "startup type" set on Manual.

I've been here today for several hours, so I'm shutting down until tomorrow morning.

If you decide to submit the list of services that have their "startup type" on Automatic, I'll look at it then.

There's a possibility her computer is infested with threats, so we may address that.
