My stepmom has a Gateway, and lately during printing the computer seems to shut off, Could I be looking at a possible Power Supply failure, I was thinking that maybe the printer pulls the power supply down enough that it shuts off, I haven't tried to print on any other software, other than Microsoft Home Publishing 2k, so I don't know if it is a software issue or what, if I have posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize.

There is a way to print a test page.

Go to Start, Settings, Printers and choose "Properties" for the printer. Somewhere there should be a button labeled "Print test page".

Also try plugging the printer into a different outlet to see if that helps.
