Hello. My gateway vista m-6750 laptop will not connect with wifi. Why is this. I used the operating disk that came sigh the system and nothing. I aso used the two restore CDs that gateway sent me and still no wifi. Can you help me please as this is very frustrating. It won't connect at the free wifi hotspots. I even have At&t wifi service for $19.99 and still no wifi.

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

[You may need to transfer the results via flashdrive, CD, or other media storage if the problem PC does not have an active internet connection.]

Hello again. I'm very confused. Maybe I am a computer illiterate because I'm totally confused. I did what you instructed but I don't understand what you meant by pasting the results. Sorry buy can you explain again what you mean by pasting results? How do I do that? I've never done any paste work before. Never quite understood what pasting was.
Thank you.
