My mother-in law's computer had to go in for repairs so she took it to the geek squad (I can give anyone who wants it the whole story) The issue I'm trying to resolve is this:

GS moved her from her old MSN running on IE11 to Office365, not a bad idea, however, in the process they removed a bunch of folders and old emails she had saved in the folders within MSN mail. Not sure why there isn't an elegant copy everything process from MSN to Office365, or if the GS person did screw it up. Feels like they did a bad job.

Here's where I'm at - I have located 2 folders that look like they might have her stuff, db30 & db40 and that is where I'm looking for help from the fine TSG folks.

For the db30 folder, the properties shows that there are 816 files in 2 folders - 1.2 GB, but when I click on the folder it says it's empty, any advice on how to get those files to show up?

For the db40 folder I am going to try this - https://forums.techguy.org/threads/recovering-msn-email.704805/#post-5947146 but if anyone has any advice on how to see what's in the files located in db40 I'd love to hear more.

    Thanks for any help/advice!

db30 may have hidden files. Try changing the view to show hidden files

    Spackler,

I've edited the thread title and the post for language. Please be more careful in the future as this is not appropriate for a family friendly site.

I do have show hidden files set, I had to do that in order to see the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSN\ folders.
